Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and Vunolin when you use our website, mobile apps, or any related service. By creating an account or using Vunolin you accept these terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service.

Who these terms cover

They cover everyone who uses Vunolin, whether you signed up on the website, through the App Store, through Google Play, or through any future channel. The same terms apply across every platform; specific store rules (Apple's, Google's) layer on top where relevant.

What Vunolin does

Vunolin is an education service. You give us a subject you want to learn, and we generate a personalised curriculum, lessons, questions, and a voice tutor to walk you through it. The service is delivered through our website and mobile apps. Features may evolve over time; we will not remove core functionality without notice.

Your account

To use Vunolin you must be at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and 17, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the service and to make any purchases.

Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account; let us know right away if you think someone else has accessed it.

You can only have one personal account. If you create multiple accounts to bypass limits or to abuse free credits, we may merge or close them.

Acceptable use

Use Vunolin for honest learning. The following are not allowed:

  • Scraping, mass downloading, or reverse engineering the service
  • Trying to circumvent rate limits, lives, or subscription gates
  • Sharing your account or reselling access
  • Using the service to generate illegal, harassing, sexual, or hateful content
  • Uploading malware, viruses, or anything intended to harm us or other users
  • Pretending to be someone else or impersonating Vunolin
  • Attempting to identify or contact other users without their consent
  • Using automated tools to interact with the AI tutor outside the user interface

If we see any of these we may warn you, restrict your account, or terminate it depending on severity.

Your content and AI-generated content

You keep ownership of the content you put into Vunolin: the subjects you ask about and the files you upload. By using the service you give us a non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display that content as needed to run the service for you.

Vunolin generates lesson text, questions, voice replies, and other content using artificial intelligence. That generated content is provided to you under the same licence you give us for your inputs: you may use it personally for your own learning, share excerpts, and build on it. It is provided for educational use only and is not professional advice. See the Disclaimer for details on its limitations.

You must not upload content you do not have the right to use. If you upload material that infringes someone else's rights and we receive a credible complaint, we will remove the material and may close your account.

Subscriptions and billing

Vunolin offers a free plan and paid subscription tiers. Paid plans are charged on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) at the price shown when you buy. Prices may change for future billing cycles; we will notify you before any increase.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each cycle unless you cancel before that point. The exact renewal date is shown on your account page.

Where required by local law, we explicitly remind you before the first renewal of a long subscription. You can switch between plans at any time; upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing, downgrades take effect at the end of the current period.

App Store and Google Play purchases

If you subscribe inside the iOS or Android app, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google. The store handles the payment, your subscription renewal, and any refund. Their terms apply on top of ours for that transaction.

For App Store users, Apple's Standard EULA also applies; you can read it at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. For Google Play users, the Google Play Terms of Service apply.

Web payments through Paddle

When you buy through the website, payment is processed by Paddle.com (Paddle.com Market Ltd), our Merchant of Record and authorized reseller; your purchase contract for the transaction is with Paddle, and Paddle handles billing, tax and VAT, and receipts. You authorise Paddle to charge your saved payment method for the subscription you chose and for each renewal until you cancel. Failed renewals may pause your access until payment succeeds.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. For web subscriptions, use the cancel button on your account page. For App Store, manage the subscription in your Apple ID settings. For Google Play, use the Subscriptions section of the Play Store. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Refunds

Most Vunolin purchases are not refundable beyond statutory consumer rights. App Store and Google Play purchases follow each store's refund flow. For details and how to request a refund, see our refund policy.

Intellectual property

The Vunolin name, brand, logo, interface, code, and original written content are owned by us. We grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use them through the service. Nothing here transfers ownership of the brand or service to you. Open-source components we use are listed in our public documentation under their own licences.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Vunolin is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. AI-generated content can be inaccurate or out of date, and the service is for educational purposes only, not professional advice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may pause the service for maintenance.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, death or personal injury caused by negligence).

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Vunolin and delete your account at any time from the profile page. Deletion is final; we cannot recover your data once it is removed.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms in a serious or repeated way, if your payment fails repeatedly, or if continuing your access would expose us to legal risk. Where reasonable we will warn you first. In urgent cases we may act immediately and explain afterwards.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. That choice does not strip you of any mandatory protection your local consumer law gives you. If you live in a jurisdiction that grants consumers stronger mandatory rights, those rights still apply.

Before any formal dispute, contact us through our contact page. We try to resolve issues directly, and most things are sorted in a few messages. If a formal dispute is unavoidable, the state and federal courts located in Bernalillo County, New Mexico have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law lets you bring the claim in your home courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves or laws change. For meaningful changes we will notify you by email or through a notice in the app and give you a chance to review before the new version takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the update.
